Course Level

ENGL 1209 ; ENGL 1209

This course supports students who are simultaneously enrolled in ENGL1209. This course is structured through an integrated approach and emphasizes the reading and writing skills needed to achieve the ENGL1209 outcomes. Instruction focuses on reading comprehension strategies to support the critical reading happening in the college-level classroom, while writing instruction focuses on a scaffolded approach, supporting the writing expectations of ENGL1209. Students registered for ENGL0980 must also be enrolled in a paired section of ENGL1209. ENGL1209 is equivalent to ENGL1210. This is a P/NC Course. Prerequisites: C- to D- in ENGL0960 or 0970 or 60-77 on Accuplacer Reading Comprehension
