Description
This course prepares students for the critical reading, thinking, and writing that will be required in college-level courses across the curriculum. ENGL0960 will use college-level, academic texts for students to practice and hone their skills. The course design includes an integrated approach to reading and writing instruction and a scaffolded, recursive approach to learning. Students completing the course with a grade of C or better progress to ENGL1210 while students completing with a grade of C- to D- progress to ENGL0980. Prerequisites: Score 38-59 on the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension
