Description
This course continues to introduce the skills and strategies necessary for understanding a variety of written materials. You will begin to identify main and supporting details in non-fiction, increase your reading rate and comprehension, and analyze features of fiction. You will also learn about resources in the college library. In addition, you will build vocabulary using a variety of strategies. Prerequisite: Appropriate scores on the language proficiency test with background information, oral interview, and writing sample or ESOL 0022 with a grade of C or higher. Recommendation: ESOL 0021 with a grade of C or higher.
